The DH77 is the M-OV Type designation but the most prominent designation shown is the Mullard EBC90. Both are equivalents to the American 6AT6.
The valve is an amplifier triode with twin signal diodes on a common cathode. It was designed for use in superhet receivers located at the end of the IF chain and as the first audio amplifier feeding the output stage.
The triode is a close match to a single section of the ECC83 audio double triode.
The diode anodes bridging the triode is a defining feature of this design. A short section of coating on the cathode above the triode faces the two small diode anodes. See 6AT6 for detail images.
The thin glass tube envelope is 17 mm in diameter and, excluding the B7G base pins, is 47 mm tall.
