The QE04-10 single beam tetrode is housed in an early all glass envelope design. The design use was as an oscillator or frequency multiplier or low power PA at HF and the low VHF frequency range.
The prominent feature besides the anode is the wire fingers from the mica disc that holds the electrodes firmly in place.
The anode has the fixing flanges placed in the centre of the working faces to transfer the maximum amount of heat.
The wide glass tube envelope is 31 mm in diameter and, excluding the B9G base pins, is 58 mm tall.
