The CV1473 is a gas filled photocell with a caesium on silver cathode. The commercial prototype was the 90 volt GS16.
The base cap with split pins that look unused. The anode voltage has been written on the glass.
On the right is the semi-circular photo-cathode. The anode is a wire rectangle that is positioned in front of the cathode and at the edges of the light sensitive area.
The thin cathode is crimped to the support rods. The anode is insulated from the cathode by a glass bead.
