This exhibit is a 6146A transmitting beam tetrode made by Westinghouse in America. The 6146A is interchangeable with the 6146 and for mobile transmitters has an ability to function well at reduced heater voltage. Th e final version was the 6146B with a very wide range of acceptable heater voltages.
The anode connection is to both side flanges.
The wide glass tube envelope is 38 mm in diameter and excluding the IO base pins, the valve is 81 mm.
