This exhibit is a Brimar 5Z4G full wave rectifier. Designed to supply equipment of up to 40 Watts total power, this rectifier was made by several manufacturers. This indicates a standard type, and one that found use in military equipment during WWII.
This exhibit is clearly post war and sourced from overseas as the pejorative Foreign indicates.
The pinch and pinch stem take up a significant part of the total length. The anodes are X in cross section.
The heater is a single insulated wire that is wound as a double helix.
The classic envelope is 39 mm in diameter and, excluding the IO base pins, is 88 mm tall.
