The LN309 is an audio triode output pentode. It produces an output power at 2.2 Watts, sufficient for an average domestic room and was fitted to television sets.
In the envelope the two electrode systems are side by side.
The double type designation shows the direct equivalence of the LN309 and the PCL83.
The thin glass tube envelope is 21 mm in diameter and excluding the B9A base pins, is 49 mm tall.
References: Data-sheet & 1040. Type LN309 was first introduced in 1953. See also 1953 adverts.
