The CV276 is a transmitting tetrode and the CV specification gives use as a modulator in pulse circuits. Pulse modulation transmitters are normally found in Radar equipment.
The KB/E identifies this valve as being made to specification K1001 or K1006, the B denotes qualification by a UK authority and the E identifies the maker as Thorn-AEI, Brimsdown.

The anode connection is mounted on the side of the envelope. Through the holes in the anode wall can be seen the beam plates and the screen grid winding.

The top showing the copper control grid supports and the heat radiating fin attached to them.
The wide glass tube envelope is 28 mm in diameter and, excluding the IO base pins, is 73 mm tall.
