The 11E2 is an aligned grid beam tetrode. The 11E2 was designed as a pulse amplifier and as a modulator. The anode has a dissipation of five Watts and an anode voltage of a few kV.
The picture above shows the rear of the valve whilst the picture below shows the grids that are visible through the carbonised anode.
The anode connection is taken to a side contact rather than a top cap, this could have been to save space or the valve could have been designed for a specific piece of equipment.
The wide glass tube envelope is 28 mm in diameter and, excluding the IO base pins, is 70 mm tall.
