The CV4055 is a special quality video output valve. The prototypes were the CV2127 and the commercial 6CH6.
It is a beam tetrode with the beam plates being formed from four vertical support rods. The cathode is flat and the grids shaped to pass across the cathode at a constant distance from it.
The anode shape reveals the grid structure. The four vertical rods form the beam plates.
The thin glass tube envelope is 20 mm in diameter, and excluding the B9A base pins, is 57 mm tall.
References: Data-sheet, 1040 & 3002. Type CV4055 was first introduced in 1956. See also 1956 adverts.
