The QQZ06-40 is the quick heating version of the QQV06-40A. The valve would reach 70% of full emitting potential in 0.5 second. These valves would be used for mobile transmitters as multipliers or as final RF amplifiers.
The full operational details are given in the attached data sheet. In summary for 4 Watts of drive the output would be 85 Watts with a maximum valve dissipation of 40 Watts. These ratings are good to 200 MHz and the valve provides useful output to 500 MHz.
The common screen grid is visible. In the European designs of double beam tetrodes the screen grid is continuous on both sides of the cathode, or oxide coated filament in this case, the control grids are separate, with one each side of the central cathode or filament.
The wide glass tube envelope is 44 mm in diameter and, excluding the B7A base pins, is 73 mm tall.
