The Wireless Constructor, August, 1928.

Extras ▼

One of the four new Marconi 3-kw. aerodrome ground transmitters installed at the new wireless ground station at Croydon. These transmitters work on any wave-length between 800 and 2,000 metres, and transmit either telephony, continuous wave or interrupted continuous wave. They incorporate a drive circuit to maintain constancy of wave-length. The drive valve is totally enclosed in the screened lower compartment of the transmitter. The top part of the transmitter contains the main oscillating valve, rectifying valves and modulator valves. The controls and measuring instruments are on the sloping panel which is above the drive screening-box. Marconi WT Co).
