The Ever Ready Radio Valve Company was established when the parent company Ever Ready (Great Britain) Ltd. purchased the Six Sixty company from Mullard in 1935.
The parent company was known as a battery maker and it also made radio sets. The valve company bought valves from Mullard rather than make them, but was able to supply the sets it made with Ever Ready branded valves.
The deal with Mullard was that Ever Ready did not sell valves to third parties outside the group. Thus Ever Ready did supply Lissen as that business was within the same group of companies.
