The ECF82 is a high slope triode pentode designed for television use as a frequency changer or mixer. It was also found to be effective as an audio phase splitter and used by Radford.
Looking into the open end of the anode reveals the beam plates and the end of the screen grid.
The small triode on the left is mounted at right angles to the pentode. At the top of the pentode can be seen two sets of grid supports. The gap in the anode o the right reveals the beam plates within.
Here the screen between sections can be seen.
The leads up from the base are copper. The heater wires can be seen to be coiled.
A clear view of the beam plates.
The thin glass tube envelope is 21 mm in diameter, and excluding the B9A base pins is 49 mm tall.
