This exhibit is a De Forest DV-2 fitted with a nickel Shaw standard base. The V in the type designation refers to the UV base cap and the 2 should represent the approximate filament voltage, however, on later versions the label shows 5 Volts for the filament.

The paper sticker is of the original form. Exhibit DV-2 has the Isolantite base and the later long paper sticker with the 5 Volt filament rating.

The wide glass tube envelope is 32 mm in diameter and, including the base pins, is 105 mm tall.
