The VP13K is a pre-war vari-mu RF pentode.
The outer perforated metal cylinder is the screen and the circular anode and wire grids can be seen within.
The B7 base pins.

The classic envelope is 35 mm in diameter, and excluding the B7 base pins is 95 mm tall.
