The NR71 is an RF pentode based on the MS/Pen/T. The T suffix indicates that it has passed a high voltage test.

The valve is also identified as a CV1284.

A maker code. The gettering covers most of the inner surface of the glass.

Looking up from the base reveals the pinch, two white heater wires and the outline of the anode.

At the top the shielding covers the tops of the grid supports. The anode connects to the top cap.

The classic envelope is 44 mm in diameter, and excluding the B7 base pins is 107 mm tall.
