The CV5110 is a variable-mu RF pentode, with variable screen characteristics, for use as a controlled RF or IF amplifier. The prototype was the CV1053.
The frequency range of operation would be up to 20 MHz.
The reverse is plain red coloured zinc screening paint.

The classic envelope is 29 mm in diameter and excluding the IO base pins it is 85 mm long.
