The CV2161 is a Klystron without a built-in cavity by English Electric. The commercial Type of K301 is on the glass.

The data-sheet gives full details of this local oscillator reflex klystron. The operating frequency range is 2.5 to 3.5 GHz.

The B appears on the base and the glass suggesting that this was a variant. The English Electric logo is on the glass.

The valve cam in this original aluminium can with screw lid. The can measures 45 mm diameter and is 91 mm tall.

Internally the valve is held by two soft fibre rings.

The thin glass tube envelope is 18 mm in diameter and, excluding the base pins, is 62 mm tall.
