The CV1167 (NR43) is an output pentode based on the Mullard PM24A. The envelope has both the CV and older NR Types on the glass indicating that it dates to before 1941.
The pinch and stem give rise to long wires to the base. The bright anode is ribbed to give rigidity to the thin nickel sheet.
The oval anode from the side.
Looking through the dome one can see the filament tension springs and the supports for the three wire grids.
The classic envelope is 40 mm in diameter and, excluding the B5 base pins, is 95 mm tall.
