The CV1862 is a an audio output beam tetrode and identical to the commercial 6AQ5 and this exhibit has both designations on the envelope.The CV1862 was rated as being able to produce 4.5 Watts of audio in a single ended circuit. In design terms it is the 6V6 on a B7G base and that is a great deal of heat to dissipate from a small envelope.
The lower mica. The heater passes four times through the cathode tube that can just be seen through a hole in the mica disc.The thin glass tube envelope is 18 mm in diameter, and excluding the B7G base pins is 57 mm tall.Reference: Data-sheet. |
