Marconi DEP215 Advert, March 23, 1927 - Marconi 1928/9 Range

Extras ▼

The DEP215 is a directly heated triode from M-OV that carries the Marconi brand. The internal gettering obscures the internal construction.
The advert linked above shows the horizontal box anode with two parallel filament threads within the grid.
The identification is etched into th top of the glass envelope. The lettering is very feint and this image is heavily processed.
Looking up inside from the base shows the horizontal anode but the inside was too dark for a decent image to be made.
The balloon envelope is 44 mm in diameter and, excluding the B4 base pins, is 92 mm tall.
References: Advert & 1043. Type DEP215 was first introduced in 1927. See also 1927 adverts.
