This EZ81 is unbranded and is a high current B9A rectifier, the low power B9A rectifier was the 90 mA EZ80.
In use the maximum reservoir capacitor would be limited to 50 μF and to prevent damage by excess current an effective series resistance of 230 Ω is used.
Each anode has four side fins, two short and two long. One anode has the long fins pointing down and the other anode has the long fins pointing up.
Additional identification lettering. The heater hairpin is formed from coiled tungsten wire.
The round cathode tube is coated over the whole length.
The thin glass tube envelope is 21 mm in diameter and, excluding the B9A base pins, is 71 mm tall.
