The Hivac D210SW is a battery triode with a ceramic base and a rich Gold metallisation. It dates from 1936 when Hivac introduced their SW or Short Wave versions of earlier valves. The ceramic base was made from 'Frequentite'. With a 2 Volt filament was designed to be heated from an accumulator supply.This exhibit shows a different style of lettering to our other D210SW.
