The LP220 was designed as a driver valve for the Tungsram CB220 Class B double triode.

The anode end view. To the left are the supports for the filament tension springs.

The dome carries the identification. The two top loops of the filament are clearly visible as is the gird.

The pinch components. The two filament tension spring supports are seen in the centre of the image.

The classic envelope is 45 mm in diameter, and excluding the B4 base pins is 89 mm tall.
