NR70 is a designation of the UK Navy before the introduction of the Common Valve designations in 1941. The CV1124 is the same valve. Electrically the MS/Pen (or MSP4) is the closest commercial type but originally on a B5 base as well as the B7, MS/Pen was released in 1933.
The zinc paint covers the envelope and little more than the top mica is visible.
The classic envelope is 44 mm in diameter, and excluding the B7 base pins is 118 mm tall.
