The CV225 is an air cooled VHF power triode with an anode dissipation of 600 Watts and an operating frequency range up to 300 MHz.
The commercial designation is ACT17 and this would have been an M-OV design of transmitting valve.
Like all the ACT valves the anode forms part of the outer envelope and a Housekeeper Seal forms the junction between the anode and the glass bulb. This valve has a centre tapped tungsten filament.
See also ACT9.
The envelope cooling fins are 73 mm in diameter and, excluding the base connections the valve is 135 mm tall.
