The ACT22 is a pulse operated UHF co-axial triode. This device could generate peak powers of several kilowatts at up to 1.0 GHz.
The copper anode connection carries the Type designation and the serial number of 322.
The heater is within the copper cone and the cathode is a flat disc mounted very close to the grid. On the other side of the grid the flat end of the anode is also mounted vry close.
Another ACT22 with a serial number of 237.
The pair of valves bought by Ian Smith in 2014.
The wide glass tube envelope is 47 mm in diameter and, including the base, is 122 mm tall.
