The Philips 1130 Barretter is a dual filament current stabiliser designed for use in battery chargers. The design application was for charging from between one to twelve two volt lead-acid cells.
Phil G4SPZ who supplied these images is looking for some 1130s to complete the repair of this commercial battery charger. It can charge up to five two Volt accumulators at one and uses five 1130s, one per cell, and a Mullard 367 Tungar rectifier. Sadly the name plate and makers details have been lost from the charger.

The dome carries the Philips name and Made in England as well as the Type designation.

The wide glass tube envelope is 30 mm in diameter, and excluding the B4 base pins is 96 mm tall.
