The CV2520 is a hydrogen thyratron but sadly we have no operating details as yet. These glass thyratrons are used as pulse modulators for Radar transmitters and allow a high voltage to be switched to the magnetron by a much smaller control voltage.
Thanks to Fred de Klepper for identifying this valve.
The wide glass tube envelope is 60 mm in diameter and, excluding the special base pins, is 189 mm tall.
