The VR92 is a miniature signal diode equivalent to the commercial EA50. The VR designation indicates a pre WWII RAF service code.This diode was originally developed for television signal demodulation.The tiny anode is almost flat with a central cylindrical space for the cathode.The thin glass tube envelope is 11 mm in diameter and, excluding the B3G base pins, is 40 mm tall.References: Data-sheet & 1040.
