The VR22 triode is an accumulator heated audio output valve. The output power of 0.18 Watts is very low.
The VR prefix denotes an RAF pre-WWII valve.
The M-OV LP2 looks to be of the same construction.
The balloon envelope is 39 mm in diameter and, excluding the B4 base pins, is 82 mm tall.
