The CV1835 is a half wave Xenon filled rectifier. The maximum Peak Inverse Voltage is rated at 5,000 Volts. Although the average rectified current is 500 mA the peak value can be as high as 2 Amps.
The CV1835 is also marked with the commercial Type of 3B28 that was the prototype for the CV1835 and this valve has that Type listed on the glass as well.
The pinch, re-entrant envelope and glass insulated anode connection. The anode is a disc within the large screen.

Another view.
The collar around the glass anode shield tube holds the screen. The latter probably connects to the anode.
The wide glass tube envelope is 51 mm in diameter and, excluding the UX4 base pins, is 139 mm tall.
