The 6N7 is designed to operate in push-pull Class B2 with zero grid bias or quiescent push-pull. The anode to anode load is given as 8,000 Ohm. The 6N7 is capable of 10 W audio output, and a pair operating in parallel push-pull will produce 20 Watts. A single valve operating in Class A is effective as a driver for another 6N7 as the output stage.
Although made in the USA this valve was exported to the UK where Brimar were the distributor.

The thin metal tube envelope is 25 mm in diameter and, excluding the IO base pins is 67 mm tall.
