The BW602 is a battery output triode dating from 1931. This exhibit has the maker ETA on the dome and a French distributer UNIS on an adhesive label on the front. The power output is 330 mW.
This second example has the UNIS name etched into the glass. The anode can be seen to slope.
Face-on view of the bright anode. Note the glass rod support at the top.
The dome carries etched information about basic operating conditions as well as the make and type.
The glass rod support; it is fixed to the anode and grid supports and holds the filament tension springs. The filament can be seen to be oxide coated.
The lower anode and pinch. The filament is formed from two inverted V sections.

The box contained a leaflet with this image on the outside.
The leaflet reverse gives the operating details.

The balloon envelope is 45 mm in diameter, and excluding the B4 base pins is 98 mm tall.
