Radions produced a few valves in the 1920's, this exhib is marked Radion and this ties up with the 1924 advert.
The anode is has a flattened oval cross section and this valve is probably a dull emitter from the mid 1920's.
The anode seen by looking up from the base. A thin sheet of nickel has been folded to form the shape and then spot welded to the support rods. The grid has a fine pitch and is held in notches.
The filament supports open out when inside the grid to allow the filament to form an inverted V. The centre rod has no electrical connection and must be the top support for the filament.
The balloon envelope is 52 mm in diameter, and excluding the B4 base pins is 101 mm tall.
Reference: Observation. Type Radion was first introduced in 1924. See also 1924 adverts.
