The CV6097 is a shunt voltage stabiliser triode. We have no specific operating details but in general it would operate on a high voltage supply with a high source impedance and a low output current. The anode would connect to the HT rail and the cathode to ground. A sense circuit would monitor the output voltage and control the conduction through the triode. In this way the HT rail would be maintained at a near constant level. For high current application a series pass stabiliser would be used.
The thin glass tube envelope is 21 mm in diameter, and excluding the base pins is 52 mm tall.
