Mullard introduced the TH2 triode hexode mixer in 1939 for battery operated superhet receivers.
The control grid of the hexode is separated as far away from the anode circuits as possible by taking the connection to the top cap.
The classic envelope is 42 mm in diameter, and excluding the B7 base pins is 106 mm tall.
