The VR66 (commercial type P61) is a mains amplifier triode. It is of low impedance and was designed for use as an oscillator.
Mazda state that the P61 was primarily designed as an oscillator for television receivers working with an SP61 as the mixer.
The classic envelope is 31 mm in diameter and, excluding the MO base pins, is 71 mm tall.
