The CV575 (prototype 5U4G) rectifier delivers 100 Watts of DC power, a reasonable size of valve. It would be used for all types of medium power equipment.The sample shown here is equivalent to the 5U4G but has the American glass tubular shape and is a much more modern valve than the 5U4G. It is unusual to find an all glass construction on an octal base.The wide glass tube envelope is 37 mm in diameter and, excluding the IO base pins, is 85 mm tall.References: Data-sheet, 1040 & 1043.
