Extras ▼

Norman Taylor died age 85 in May 2010 and his daughter donated his valves to the museum.
Norman worked for Welwyn Electric in Bedlington on the manufacture of resistors until his retirement. He was a production engineer and spent most of his career working in the North East of England.
Norman had an utter fascination for electronics and engineering of all kinds. This had begun while he was still at school in the 1930s and during that time he built his first Wireless set. He was a keen Short Wave listener all his life.
