The CV1871 is described as a velocity modulated oscillator with the metal body as the anode. This could be a reflex klystron or a Heil tube but the prototype follows the M-OV naming convention rather than STC and so the reflex klystron is probably correct. The prototype was the K307. The output power is up to 30 mW and the tuning range is 2.75 to 2.85 GHz.
