The EL89 is an audio output pentode that was introduced about 1955 but is not listed in 1956. It was designed to operate with a load of 7,000Ω and a 140Ω cathode bias resistor. The output is given as 3.9 Watts and the anode dissipation is 11 Watts maximum.
