The 1614 is a power output pentode designed for HF RF of AF use. The characteristic curves match those of the 807. For pure audio work the equivalent is the 6L6.
As an audio modulator in Class AB1 a power of 50[k[Watts can be obtained from a pair of valves.
For RF output for phone use in Class C the power available can be 24.5 Watts.
