The 6087 is a full wave vacuum rectifier alternatively known as 5Y3WGTB as it is a modern implementation of the 5Y3. Originally these rectifiers were built on a pinch but this modern version uses a glass foot construction. In essence an all glass valve with lead-out wires soldered to an International Octal base cap.
The design is indirectly heated but one side of the heater is connected to the cathode. The original 5Y3 was a directly heated rectifier.
There are double mica sheets top and bottom. This suggests a valve suitable for use in areas of vibration and shock.
Each anode is stitched together. At the base the cathode tube can be seen together with the heater that is made into two loops - thus passing through the tube four times.
The wide glass tube envelope is 29 mm in diameter, and excluding the IO base pins is 70 mm tall.
