The YD1050 is a planar triode with attached aluminium cooling fins for forced air cooling. It is designed to operate at up to 2.5 GHz.
The Type designation is punched into the anode ring. The cooling fins would be blown with forced air to keep the valve cool.
The centre cylinder connects to one side of the heater and the outer connection is the heater and cathode connection.
The cooling fins look to be built from a set of two different washers with the outer plate screwed into the anode.
The ceramic planar envelope is 20 mm in diameter and, including the base pins, is 69 mm tall.
