The DL96 is a low consumption audio output valve and dates from the 1950s. The audio output is low at 200 mW but considering the low filament power it is quite remarkable. This is a British made valve and so probably dates from the 1950's.
The top of the envelope is closed off in a flatter style than the exhibit seen here.
The paper label shows when this was last tested.
The thin glass tube envelope is 18 mm in diameter and, excluding the B7G base pins, is 47 mm tall.
