This VT-1 is post WWI US surplus. The Greeley-Madison Co. label gives construction details. The valve was made by Western Electric for the Signal Corps. It features an oxide coated solid platinum filament. The base skirt is brass.
The image shows the main electrodes from the side and reveals the glass bead at the top that holds the inner electrodes firmly in place.

The wide glass tube envelope is 32 mm in diameter, and including the base pins is 105 mm tall.
