The Radio Record AC/VS is an indirectly heated vari-μ screen grid valve or tetrode designed for RF or IF amplification in receivers with AVC or manual grid bias adjustment. It probably dates to the early 1930s before the Vari-μ pentode took over. The screw top cap also suggests early 1930s.The basic operating details are present printed onto the zinc screening paint.
