The CV1574 is an HF pentode based on the Mazda SP41. The old RAF service code is VR65A.
Face view. The three grids extend outside the size of the anode plate.
A closer view. The suppressor grid is wound closer than usual and so could have a significant effect on the electron flow if required.
The code on the right reads 34P65A. The top cap connects to the two control grid supports with corrugated tape.
The wide glass tube envelope is 29 mm in diameter and, excluding the MO base pins, is 79 mm tall.
