The CV2578 (commercially the 5687) is a special quality double triode. It is described as a general purpose medium gain triode pair with good emission. The pair can dissipate 7.5 Watts or a single triode can dissipate 4.2 Watts.
The KB/LB identifies this valve as being made to specification K1001 or K1006, the B denotes qualification by a UK authority and the LB identifies the maker as CSF, St. Egreve, Grenoble, Isere, France.

The thin glass tube envelope is 20 mm in diameter and, excluding the B9A base pins, is 48 mm tall.
